The new Holley HyperSpark was designed to work with the Sniper EFI System with no adapter. But that doesn't change the fact that it is also an absolutely ideal distributor for the Terminator EFI Throttlebody Injection System. But, to retain the same level of plug-and-play compatibility that is experienced by Sniper EFI System users, you'll want this harness.
This harness provides you with a 10-pin connector that mates with the 10-pin ignition connector on specific Terminator and Terminator X main harness and connects directly to the HyperSpark distributor, alleviating the need for the adapter harness included with the HyperSpark.. Too easy! It even sources the power for the HyperSpark distributor direction from the Terminator's ignition connector, making the installation that much easier. We've even included a tachometer output wire since the HyperSpark ignition box does not provide a tachometer output. (The Sniper EFI System, for which the HyperSpark was originally designed, does not require the HyperSpark to have a tach output since the Sniper EFI System itself does.)
Note that this only works with the main harness in the Terminator and Terminator X Systems that have a 10-pin ignition connector. The Terminator systems built for the LS have dual ignition connectors made to plug into the factory coil--near-plug harnesses and will not work with this harness.
Version 2 Now Available!
We offered a Terminator to HyperSpark adapter harness for over a year before Holley decided to offer theirs. Which was certainly fine. In fact, when they came out with theirs, the design was reduced the number of connectors. Brilliant! So, imitation being the most sincere form of flattery, we changed our design to follow suit.
But for some reason they didn't choose to solve the problem that some Terminator users have regarding tachometer hookup. When the HyperSpark is used with the Sniper system the Sniper offers a loose brown wire called "Tach Out". Just connect your tachometer there. But the Terminator doesn't offer a loose wire. There is a position on the Ignition connector that works well as a tach output but Holley's version offers no wire. Ours does! So, if you have no plans to connect a tachometer or if you are using an ignition box with a tachometer output then Holley's adapter harness will work great. But if you are going to connect to a tachometer and are using either a coil driver module or the HyperSpark ignition box you'll need to add a wire to position 'H' on the connector, OR, you can opt for our version that provides that wire for you.
