Perhaps you are already aware that Dodge decided to put a plastic fuel tank into your 1981-1993 Dodge D100/D150 or W100/W150 Pickup. The good news is that it lasted this long. The less-good news is that you REALLY need to replace it at this point if you've not already done so.
But the BEST news is that Holley now offers this all-steel fuel tank that is a direct replacement to the factory original tank in your D100/D150 Pickup. This steel-contruction tank is finished in a semi-gloss powder-coated finish for good looks and long life. It includes a new filler neck, clamps, hanger-straps and strap pads so you get everything you need for installation. The vent is pre-mounted right in the tank. Full Detailed Specifications Below!
Is this for carbureted or fuel injected engines?
We promote these as a EFI fuel tank system and they certainly are that. But they will work for your carbureted engine as well. Fuel Pump modules are sold separately and just bolt right into place. We offer three options above:
- Carbureted Applications: Sniper 19-365 Retrofit Fuel Pump Module (Interally regulated at 6 PSI)
- Most EFI Applications: Sniper 19-360 Retrofit EFI Fuel Pump Module (Internally regulated at 60 PSI)
- Boosted EFI Applications: Sniper 19-350 Retrofit EFI Fuel Pump Module (Requires external regulator, not included)
Pumps listed above all produce 340 LPH at free flow and are appropriate for naturally-aspirated applications making no more than 700 HP. If you have any question if this is enough fuel pump for you, it is our honor to be of assistance. Please contact us.
Which fuel level sender should I choose?
Hey, I'm all about saving money where I can. I do not necessarily believe that newer is better and I'm good at installing things and making them work. But even if that describes you too, let me tell you that the new Easy-Level LIDAR sender from is hands-down the better choice than the old-style float-arm sender. You're going to spend an hour getting that old-school sender installed and adjusted just the way you like it. And then you're going to wonder if it's working right. Or you can just bolt in the Easy-Level, use a couple of minutes to set some switch settings, and then ride in confidence that it's bang-on correct. Make the easy choice. :-)
What else am I going to need to be successful with this installation?
If your Dodge truck is a W-series 4 wheel drive version then you also need an additional mounting strap for 1981-1993 Dodge W100/W150 4WD trucks (available as a purchase option, above.)
Finally, you are going to need a fuel filter, fuel hose, clamps, and a couple of fittings.
This kit offers everything you need in one package.
