This is the dual-inlet version of the Holley Dominator 200 GPH fuel pump (PN 12-1800.) Designed for high-horsepower, nitrous and forced-induction engines. This is a dual-pump design in a single package providing you with two stages of fuel pump goodness. Rather than feed the rated HP at all times (heating the fuel without reason) the second pump only kicks in when required, reducing heat buildup and helping to prevent fuel foaming. The extra pump offers the peace of mind that you will always finish what you start! For hard core race vehicles, both pumps can be wired for full time duty to get maximum performance and are proven with 18.5 volt compatibility at pressures up to 80 psi.
Holley engineers have designed 12-1600 to feature improved hot fuel handling capabilities. It was designed to greatly reduce the negative effects of heated fuel now common with many of today’s pump gas blends. It is available for use with pump gas or race gas. If you are using E-85 or diesel, no need to worry, Holley has still got you covered with the 12-1800 Dominator Fuel Pump. At only 5.1 lbs, they weigh half a pound less than competitive 1000+ horsepower pumps yet have twice the features!
These pumps do not have an internal bypass. A bypass style regulator and return line are required.
NOT FOR USE WITH METHANOL! Will not work with E-85 or Diesel!
What Fuel Pressure Regulator Will Work With This Pump?
While we have seen conflicting opinions about this, even within Holley's documentation, whenever using a fuel pump capable of feeding 800 HP or more we immediately recommend the Holley VR-Series EFI Fuel Pressure Regulator. While it is possible that a smaller regulator might work (that is, not be overwhelmed by the fuel flow this pump produces, leading to fuel pressure spikes) the modest difference in price is easily worth it for the peace of mind.
