This sensor is designed to trigger from a ferrous metal (magnetic steel) target, such as Holley’s 60-2 crank trigger wheels. It can also be used for a cam sensor trigger and other applications. It can be powered with a 5-20 Volt source. When making the “target” piece to trigger the sensor, the bigger the better, especially if high RPM is involved. If using a bolt head, etc. for a cam trigger, it is advised to use something with a diameter of at least 1/4 inch. The gap should be as close as possible, without contact. Shoot for .020”-.040” as a target.
