This harness is made to connect both the Chrysler Gen III Hemi drive-by-wire throttle as well as the factory digital pedal set to the Holley Dominator ECU. Similar to the changes with the cam and crank sensors, the Drive-By-Wire throttle pedal connector was changed in 2008 on cars while the trucks changed in the 2007 models. Interestingly, the throttle body connector is consistent on all engines. The early pedals use a larger connector. View the image gallery to see both types.
The HEMI’s Variable Valve Timing is not supported by the Holley systems at this time. You can run an engine that is equipped with VVT, but the cam timing will revert to the mechanical default. The Holley R&D team is working on an accessory harness that will drive the VVT actuator. However, it is not available at this time. The HEMI’s Multi-Displacement System (MDS) was primarily designed for fuel economy purposes and does not need to be connected when switching to a Holley system. NOTE: Not legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles.
