Hood Clearance
The 2-BBL throttle body included in this kit is 2.060 inches tall and requires an air cleaner that is at least 3 inches tall to clear the injectors. Also, be sure to leave room for the adapter that you might use (either of the two included in the kit or the 17-47 adapter mentioned below.) You should factor at least 6 inches above the mounting surface of your carburetor flange and the hood.

The Holley Avenger EFI Engine Management System 2-Barrel Throttle Body Injection (TBI) fuel injection kit (Part Number (550-200) flows 670 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and supports engines up to 275 horsepower. It is an all-inclusive kit that contains everything you will need to replace the carburetor on an intake manifold with a square-bore or spread-bore carburetor mount other than some fuel line. Optionally, it can be used to replace a carburetor on a Holley 2300/Motorcraft style intake manifold (use Holley TBI to 2-BBL Adapter Plate 17-47.)
After you remove the existing fuel system (carburetor, fuel pump, and fuel pressure regulator) you will start by installing the throttle body included in the kit. You then mount the MAP sensor, install the fuel pump and filter (along with the return fuel line), and oxygen sensor. At this point you're ready to locate the ECU and complete the wiring using the pre-terminated wiring harness. Complete, detailed, step-by-step instructions are included to make this a snap. Several of the steps are best performed with an assistant. The installation of the boss for the wideband oxygen sensor typically requires a welder, and is a job easily completed at a local muffler shop if you do not have access to a welder.
